July 8, 2008 John Henry, the Champion in my heart!
You left us nine months ago today. Your beautiful soul entered into Heaven's Celestial paddock at 7:00 p.m. The Lord opened his loving arms.
Our hearts were broken...they still are!!
I think of you daily.
You are ALWAYS in my heart.
You have been busy greeting so many other horses who have lost their lives. Horses that did not get to live a full life as you did. Poor, beautiful, Eight Belles went to the same paddock on May 3, 2008. The loss of her life also broke many, many hearts. She is among Champions!!
Your statue at the Kentucky Horse Park is, hopefully, to be unveiled on the anniversary of your passing: October 8th. I will be there.
Please give a chocolate donut kiss to my husband, John.
On behalf of John Henry ~ from his celestial paddock ~ he wants to wish his wonderful and understanding trainer, Ron McAnally, a very Happy 76th Birthday.
John will enjoy an extra chocolate donut and one extra peppermint in honor of his trainer's birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR RONNIE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
I will not get to see you this coming October (sales) when you visit my previous home at the Kentucky Horse Park. I will make my presence known though :-) Maybe my statue will be there when you visit....
Love from the Champ. The Legend. ~JOHN HENRY~
P.S. Ron, thank you for understanding me. You and Lewis and Jose gave me much respect and understanding. That's why I ran my heart out for you. I knew I was loved!! And I loved you in return.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you John Henry~ and all that your heart and spirit allowed you to be... beyond the rest of the world's expectations. Your vision never failed you... I love and miss you oh faithful one! ~ Dr. Stetson
Dear John Henry Fans~ If you did not know, John's statue for the Kentucky Horse Park is at the foundry in Lexington. I've been told by a very good source that the statue will be completed by the deadline, October 8, 2008. Please make plans for a trip to the Kentucky Horse Park.
One KHP employee made this comment: Within a matter of a few days it transformed from simply being a really good likeness of him to capturing his essence. It’s fantastic.
John Henry ~ you may not be there but your spirit lives on. You live in our hearts for eternity!
