Does anybody know how to buy the film is you're in Canada? I tried the official site and it kept saying I hadn't put in a proper country designation. I had, but I don't think the program liked that it wasn't US.
I watched the documentary, and it was spectacular. He is one of the greatest ever, and will forever live on in our hearts. Although I wouldn't call myself a race fan, John Henry and I share alot of similarities...even a name. I was wondering if it was ever thought about to make a feature film about this horse? I know they made movies about Secretariat and Seabiscut, but I think JH's is one many can relate to. Any thoughts?
I was there and John's tail was never taken. A few and I mean a few strands were taken by those very close to him as is often customary. He was buried with 99% of his tail intact. The euthanasia and burial were both VERY respectful.
I was also there for his burial and his tail WAS cut off. A woman braided it and another cut it off with scissors. I have found that it has been used to make bracelets for a few friends of the person who took it
Flew from Toronto to New York just to see John Henry run in the Turf Cup. Still have the program and a two dollar win ticket and some grainy pictures of him posing in the walking ring. He was an inspiration, a great boon to racing then and what we need now to get the excitement and enjoyment back into racing. Love that old campaigner.

Johns tail was cut off after he was put down and it was handed to a woman they said was the head of Equine operations, Hopkins
alittle bit degrading if you ask me
Very disrespectful to John Henry, if you ask me.
I am just wondering if it was for personal wealth or what??? Someone needs to say something
I have heard that it was used to make bracelets????
Does anyone know where I might find a John Henry money clip?
(My dad had one and lost it and is one of John's biggest fans.)
